The Dexter Desk Lamp turns design on its head. “We took the glass from the shade and put it on the base, which in our lamp is poured crystal,” “and we made our shade metal, which keeps the opaqueness has without stealing its color.” While both shades have flat sides and convex tops, the Dexter’s more crisply geometric shape, shorter profile, and clear, boxy base that reflects light from above offer a respectful modern twist on a much-copied classic.
